Enjoy! 2005/10/9 Dimmu Borgir,bastards remake the storm for making more moneyThe study in university is not easy as I've ever thought.Anyway, I still have some spare time to breathe the fresh air of my beautiful day, read the sixth episode of Harry Potter, and of course, inject black metal music which I consider as a sort of dope.Recently, it is said that DIMMU BORGIR will release their new album, when I got this information, I looked for it immediately by slsk.Fortunately, I found it and downloaded it completely.Actually, it's not a new album, but re-recording their best selling album Stormblast.The recording quality is better than the original version, however, it seems that this version is much shorter, it doesn't matter!Because, in fact, the original sounds so grave that the entire album is lacking of strength, even if it owns an outstanding melody.I used to expect these guys to re-record this masterpiece.And now, this small wish comes true.But it is not good enough as I anticipate.The drummer is replaced by Hellhammer(it's good news!).And the band wishs to get back to their root by releasing an old album, I don't think they achieve their goal.The album sounds more like ENTHRONE DARKNESS TRIUMPHANT and is added with some new elements.So this album entitled Stormblast 2005, the title matches the reality!They are not able to return to their previous times any more.Stormblast 2005 represent a neo-classic attempt of new DIMMU BORGIR.I must mention that Sogens Kammer is a whole new song instead of a pure piano track in the original one.Frankly speaking, I don't like this new track at all! Anyway, DIMMU BORGIR is one of my favorite bands, I have all their discs, I admit that new Stormblast sounds not bad,but this time I've no intention to buy it, for what I look forward to is not fucked up repeating old things,is a brand new album.(it'll be released next year) by Achuan Oct 9 2005 2005/9/23 Old Man's Child's Vermin, the return of the evil kidOld Man's Child est un black metal mélodique groupe norvégien que j'ai découvert il y a 2 ans.En ce moment-là,je venais d'entrer à l'université en Chine,par hasard,actuellement,je retourne à une nouvelle université, lorsque Old Man's Child publie un nouvel opus.Bien sur que c'est un album magnifique,court comme l'opus précédent In Defiance of Existence(il dure que 37min).Il comporte plein d'excellente mélodie et de rythme violent.Effectivement,j'adore tous les chants dans cet album,surtout le 1er Enslaved and Condemned et le 2nd The Plague of Sorrow qui expriment peut-etre l'esprit de cet opus.En général,Vermin est relativement simple au niveaux de composition par rapport à In Defiance of Existence,en revenche,OMC nous présente un retour d'un genre original qu'on peut remonter à son deuxième album The Pagan Prosperity,moins d'arrangements complexes,plus de viking influences et de rythmes passionnants.En outre,on devrait admirer la créativité de Galder,en fait,y a que deux memebres dans OMC actuel,sauf la performance de batterie,Galder a effectué toutes les autres choses.OMC est retourné avec un génial opus.Moi, je retourne avec une revanche atroce!
By Achuan 23,sep,2005 2005/8/15 LE SUPERBE DEBUT DE MIDNATTSOLC’est une grande surprise de cette année !Midnattsol est un folk metal nordique groupe Norvègien. Ce genre de metal à voix féminines est très rare au monde , donc il est particulier. La chanteuse est la soeur de Liv Kristine de Leaves Eyes. Tout d’abord, Midnattsol, ca veut dire le soleil de la nuit en francais. Deuxièmement, nombreux de guitares acoustiques sont utilisées dans cet album. Il nous présente un pure album de viking metal et folk nordique. Sa musique nous amène au paysage vaste de la Scandinavie , le territoire froid , sombre et mystérieux. Par ailleurs, il faut mentionner la belle voix de la chanteuse Carmen Elise Espenaes. Même s’il y a plein de groupes à voix féminines en Europe, mais il me semble que cela qui a une excellente voix ne soit pas beaucoup. De toute évidence, Carmen serait une des meilleures !Sa voix est puissante , solide et vraiment inoubliable ! De plus, les paroles expriment l’émotion de l’amour, l’attitude de la mort également l’ame humaine. Cet opus nous montre typiquement la part la plus émouvante et tendre du metal. Il est bien sur que cet album ne manque jamais de la puissance, on pourrait indiquer plusieurs impressifs heavy riffs dans chaque morceau. Bien qu’il n’ait pas de spécial sur les arrangements, les paroles,et même les solos passionnés, par contre, seulement la superbe qualité de l’enregistrement et la voix émotive sont suffisants de nous faire plaisir, en ce qui me concerne, j’avoue que je suis déjà fasciné par ce groupe ! J’estime que Where Twilight Drells serait le meilleur album du début de l’année 2005 que j’ai déjà écouté. Un nouveau grand metal groupe est né !

THE REVIEW OF THE NEW ALBUM OF EPICAGenerally speaking, I hate the commercial bands, I know that someone thinks why Epica is so successful is that the company makes much promotion for this band. In my opinion, even though this band becomes popular because of the effort of the recording company, it is certain that this band has a large potential and creativity. Maybe someone says they have too many elements which are familiar with Nightwish or Whithin temptation, I agree with it, because they are the same genre. However, it seems to me that Nightwish is a classic power metal band, and Within temptation express more sad attitude (the female voice nearly demonstrates this genre of heavy metal). On the other hand, Epica is much like the mixture of these two bands, and adds more symphonic elements in their works, the scream voice has already disappeared in the bands which we talked before, but in the music of Epica, it still exists. We can easy to say they maintain the original of Gothic metal and the cruelty of this type of music. Compared with the vocal of Nightwish, I prefer which of Epica, I think perhaps with the age problem, the youngest Epica possesses a sound more forceful and more solid. Some of slow pieces have inspirations of Evanescence, it doesn’t mean this band having relation with Evanescence.The new album Consign of oblivion which I have listened before the date of release, I was really shocked by their performance! Because I have not listened the first album yet, I am not sure whether they progress or not. According to this album, I only can conclude that in the aspect of recording, it is fine and smooth, musically, it is lyrical and strong, I am not in favor of the opinion that they have strong ability in writing complicated arrangements. Their forte is making an impressed album without using lengthy and tedious elements. This album begins with an orchestral track and melodic riff throughout all the works.
